What is GuideSafe Event and Visitor Passport?

GuideSafe Event and Visitor Passport is used to help facilitate access to meetings, events, or venues having ten or more people. 

How does GuideSafe Event and Visitor Passport work?

Event attendees will complete the GuideSafe Healthcheck, a COVID-19 assessment tool, prior to the gathering.  Event and Visitor Passport issues clearance to an event based on a proprietary COVID-19 risk algorithm. Each user is assigned a unique passport number indicating their status for the upcoming event. 

Why is my organization using GuideSafe Event and Visitor Passport?

The COVID-19 pandemic is an extraordinary situation requiring significant measures to create a safe work and educational communities. Organizations use GuideSafe Event and Visitor Passport to manage large scale engagements like events, conferences, or large group meetings to keep their workplace or campus healthy and limit the spread of the virus.

If I receive a “Not Clear” status in the Event and Visitor Passport, will I really not be allowed to enter?

If you received a status of “Not Clear” from the GuideSafe Event and Visitor Passport for a specific event, meeting or facility, you will not be permitted to enter. Event and Visitor Passport helps manage large groups and prevent further exposure to COVID-19. 

Is GuideSafe Event and Visitor Passport secure? Is my privacy protected?

GuideSafe Event and Visitor Passport is a HIPAA compliant platform. The application does not track you as a person or your location. Each user is assigned a unique passport number indicating their status for the upcoming event. 

Will I remain anonymous?

Your organization will receive your information submitted through the GuideSafe Event and Visitor Passport. The information is to ensure compliance and to identify employees or students who may need to be tested to further prevent the spread of COVID-19. 

When do I complete GuideSafe Event and Visitor Passport?

GuideSafe Event and Visitor Passport is available after you have completed GuideSafe Healthcheck. After you have completed Healthcheck, press the “Passport” button to get your passport. This passport is good for 24 hours. Remember your passport number to access your passport later in the day. After the 24-hour passport has expired, you will need to complete Healthcheck again. 

How do I access GuideSafe Event and Visitor Passport?

You can access GuideSafe Event and Visitor Passport on a phone, tablet, or computer. It is mobile-enabled so that it can be easily viewed on your phone. The site can be pinned to your smartphone home screen so that it appears as an app.
